Surgical Sales Specialist New York

Location:  Greater NYC/Long Island/Northeast NJ NY

Position Objective
Implement all sales and marketing plans for the Growth product line to generate revenue to exceed monthly and quarterly revenue and unit goals.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Achieve 100% of monthly and quarterly revenue and unit goals.
  • Differentiate the (Company Product name) line using clinical data; conducting in-services; and attending cases on a regular basis.  Do the same for other growth products as well.
  • Attend medical meetings as requested by management.
  • Communicate territory needs, trends, and targets to Region Manager on a weekly basis.
  • Comply with all corporate policies, standards of conduct and maintain all administrative functions in a timely manner.
Key Results Areas
  • Achievement of monthly, quarterly and yearly revenue goals for growth products.
  • Strong territory management
  • Expense budget management.
  • Extensive sales experience in the areas of implantable medical devices or other medical sales in the Operating Room.
  • B.A. or B.S. Degree
  • Knowledge of Surgery.  Knowledge of GYN a plus.  Also, a background in energy sales is also a plus.
Documented track record of sales achievement in these areas.

Additional Details:
  • Call points, in order of focus: Plastic Surgeons, GYN Oncology Surgeons, GYN
  • Reports to:  Regoinal Manager
  • Products Supported: (Product), a patented new plasma-based surgical product.
  • # of Direct reports:  none
  • Care Setting/Call points:  Acute care in the OR, as well as surgery centers
  • Corporate or home based office:  Home based
  • Typical “day in the life”:  Working out of a home based office and selling (Product) to new and existing physicians in the Acute care (OR) and surgery center settings.

Compensation ann Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $80K
  • Variable: $105K +
  • At Plan: $185K +
  • Variable incentive:  30% commission on sales from dollar $1
  • Quota is $350,000


For this NY position, a compensation guarantee is in place (in addition to base salary):

  • months 1-3: $6K per month guarantee
  • month 4: $5K guarantee
  • month 5: $4K guarantee
  • month 6: $3K guarantee

  • Expenses: Yes - full reimbursement including $150 per month for phone/internet
